ndrea Lee is one of the rising stars in the LPGA Tour, highlighted by her first win at the 2022 Portland Classic. Lee has had success all levels, including Standford University earning 9 wins during her collegiate career and having 17 weeks of being the most successful Women's Amateur across the World. In 2019, she took home the Mark H. McCormack Medal as the top-ranked Women's Amateur at the end of the season. She turned professional later that year. Andrea Lee was born in Los Angeles on 15 August 1998. James began teaching his daughter golf at the age of 5. At age 8 She began competing in tournaments, and within four years she earned 50 junior titles. She was a finalist in her finals at the US Women's Open 2014 at Pinehurst No. aged 15 with her dad playing as her caddie. Lee was unable to make the LPGA Tour cut at the 2015 ANA Inspiration by just one shot. Lee was a member of the USA at the Junior Ryder Cup Junior Solheim Cup Curtis Cup Women's World Amateur Team Championship and the Junior Ryder Cup. She became Stanford University's most famous golfer to ever grace the university in 2016, after she won nine championships over the next three years. Lee left Stanford University and turned pro in the year 2019. Her amateur golf career included 17 weeks at the highest of the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Lee also received the Mark H. McCormack Award for 2019, after completing her season in the top of the amateur ranking. Lee recorded four holes in a row and one Albatross as an amateur. Lee claimed her maiden LPGA Tour win in the 2022 Portland Classic. The winner dedicated it to her grandfather Min who passed away in 2012. He was always calling me a winner and believed that I could win. The victory was dedicated to her late grandfather Min whom she claimed always considered me an athlete and believed in me.
